SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC UHS-1 128GB Memory Card Launched at Rs. 9,999

SanDisk has announced the launch of its Ultra microSDXC UHS-1 128GB memory card in India. The new card from SanDisk will be available at a suggested retail price of Rs. 9,999 starting in May.
SanDisk claims that the Ultra microSDXC UHS-1 memory card is the world's "highest capacity microSDXC memory card" with 128GB storage. Notably, the storage device company launched theUltra microSDXC UHS-1 at MWC in Barcelona.
The new 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I memory card can, according SanDisk, store up to 16 hours of full-HD videos, a total of 7,500 songs, 3200 images and over 125 apps. The new SDXC cards are said to be designed for Android-powered smartphones and tablets. Further, the company details that the new cards can read data at speeds up to 30MB/s for quick file transfer, apart from being waterproof and temperature proof.
The press note states that the SanDisk Memory Zone app, which is available on Google Play under Beta version, "lets users easily view, access, and backup all of their files from their phone's memory in one convenient place."
Commenting on the launch, Rajesh Gupta, Country Manager India, SanDisk Corporation said, "The new SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card again demonstrates how SanDisk continues to expand the possibilities of storage so that consumers can benefit from our latest technology advancements. With 128GB of removable storage, consumers will enjoy the freedom to capture and save whatever they want on a smartphone or tablet, without worrying about running out of storage space."
In addition, SanDisk on Friday announced the Optimus Max Solid State Drive (SSD), which it claimed was the industry's first 4TB enterprise-class Storage-as-a-Service (SAS)-based SSD. The company also revealed plans to up the ante to 6TB and 8TB SSD drives next year.
